⏳ You’re Waiting for the Wrong Things

“You’re waiting… for the wrong things.”

Here’s something that quietly slows everything down:

“Let’s wait for confirmation.”
“I’ll move once they reply.”
“We need full alignment before acting.”

Now—sometimes that’s necessary.

But when it becomes your default…

You stop driving progress.

And you start depending on it.

Because every time you wait, you’re doing 3 things:

👉 slowing momentum
👉 shifting ownership away from you
👉 and delaying decisions that could already move forward

And the worst part?

Most of the time…

You didn’t need to wait at all.

Strong CSMs don’t wait for everything.

They separate:

👉 what truly needs input
👉 what can move with assumptions
👉 and what they can decide themselves

That’s the shift.

From waiting…

To moving things forward with clarity.

If everything depends on others…
nothing really moves.

💬 Your turn: What’s something you’re currently waiting on… that you could actually move forward today?

I’ll go first 👇

One shift that changed how I operate:

I stopped asking
“Who do I need to wait for?”

And started asking:
👉 “What can I move forward right now?”

That question alone unlocked a lot of momentum.

Because not everything needs approval.
Some things just need a decision.

And once I separated the two…

Progress became a lot faster.

What’s something you could move forward today without waiting?
