One of the biggest shifts for mid-level CSMs is learning to stop giving updates
and start framing the situation.

Anyone can pass information.
But framing explains:
🔍 What it means
🎯 Why it matters
➡️ What comes next

That’s how you move from being helpful
to being trusted.
Clients don’t want a messenger —
they want someone who understands the bigger picture and guides them through it.

💬 Your turn: What’s one moment where framing the situation changed the direction of a conversation?

🔚 Tuesday Insight:
“Information informs. Framing aligns.”

I’ll go first 👋

One moment that stands out for me was when a client asked for a feature that didn’t match their actual goal. Instead of just saying “it’s not available,” I reframed it around why they wanted it and showed them a better path to the outcome.

That framing shifted the whole conversation — and it strengthened trust instead of blocking momentum.

What’s a situation where framing changed everything for you?
