Mid-level CSMs often fall into this trap:
tracking everything and mistaking it for effectiveness.

Health scores, dashboards, notes, tasks —
they only matter if they point to movement.

The strongest mid-level CSMs don’t track more.
They track what answers one question:
👉 Is this account moving forward — or quietly stalling?

Real momentum shows up in:

  • Decisions being made

  • Adoption shifting

  • Clear, owned next steps

If your tracking doesn’t help you act faster or intervene earlier,
it’s noise, not insight.

💬 Your turn: What’s one signal you rely on most to tell if an account is actually moving forward?

🔚 Tuesday Thought:
“What you measure should help you decide, not just report.

I’ll go first 👋

One signal I rely on heavily is decision velocity — how quickly an account moves from discussion to action. When decisions stall, momentum usually has too.

That signal has helped me intervene earlier than any dashboard ever did.

What’s the signal you trust most to tell if an account is truly progressing?
