There’s a turning point in every CSM’s growth where your job stops being
“yes, absolutely”
and becomes
“let’s rethink this together.”

Great CSMs don’t just agree with clients —
they challenge assumptions with care.
They ask uncomfortable questions.
They push for clarity.
They guide clients away from decisions that won’t serve them.

It’s not confrontation.
It’s partnership.

And it’s the moment clients begin to see you as a strategic voice,
not just support.

💬 Your turn: What’s one moment where challenging a client respectfully changed the outcome?

🔚 Tuesday Insight:
“Real partnership begins where easy agreement ends.”

I’ll go first 👋

One moment that stands out was when a client pushed for a workflow that sounded helpful but would actually create more manual work long-term. Instead of agreeing, I reframed it around their goals and walked them through the hidden impact.

They immediately shifted direction — and thanked me for challenging them.

What’s a time when asking the tough question changed everything?
