⏱️ Being Busy Isn’t Being Effective

Busy CSMs aren’t always effective CSMs.

Filling your calendar, answering every ping, and living in reactive mode —
that’s motion, not impact.

Great CSMs trade busyness for focus.
They prioritize the few actions that actually move clients closer to outcomes.

Because when everything feels urgent…
nothing is truly important.

Impact > Activity. Every time.

💬 Your turn: What’s one way you protect your focus as a CSM?

I’ll start us off 👋

One way I protect focus is by time-blocking deep work — I set aside at least 1–2 hours a day with Slack closed, just for strategic client work. No pings, no noise, just focus on what really moves the needle.

It’s not easy, but without it, everything else becomes firefighting.

How do you protect your focus in the middle of client chaos?
